Only once every two years does the CT Piecemakers (http://ctpiecemakers.org/) Quilt Guild pull out all the stops and put on a show. The coordination and amount of effort is stupendous. On April 16-17 of 2016, their "Spring Shower of Quilts" is being held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Southbury, CT (www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=crowne+plaza+hotel+southbury+ct+directions). 240 quilts, each with a story of its own, plus raffles of a master quilt and 30 theme baskets (family games, chocolate, winter basket with an antique sleigh, kids' crafts, beginners' quilt accessories and on and on). There are vendors galore, informative classes, food and much, much more. If you miss this one, you'll have to wait two more years for the next. REF members will definitely see some familiar faces there, some with their own fabulous quilt creations. The stupendous effort involved and the resulting incredible display make it well worth your while to travel to Southbury from wherever you are.

Yes, Virginia, photos only give a hint of the vibrancy and texture that we who were lucky enough to attend the show were able to experience. Congrats to all!!!
